Our Design Aesthetic
Inspired by the culture and landscape of Norway, Foss and Harper designs embody a Scandinavian influence, characterized by simplicity, minimalism and functionality, while retaining some organic elements reminiscent of the little nuances in nature.
The natural gemstones and diamonds in our jewelry foster our deep connection to the earth, and we bring to the fore the one-of-a-kind nature of salt-and-pepper diamonds — little specks of stardust glittering like constellations in the night sky.
With functionality being a quintessential part of Scandinavian design philosophy, we have designed our jewelry to be modular and versatile. Our carefully curated pieces — each piece evocative and with their own unique story — can be combined in sophisticated and creative ways to express your individuality.
About the Designer
Foss and Harper is a woman-led, minority-owned emerging artisan label founded by Melanie Ng S. H. to incorporate her love for photography and jewelry design. She is a Singaporean-born, Norway-based award-winning, destination wedding photographer whose photographs have been published worldwide in magazines and newspapers like The Cosmopolitan, The Lonely Planet, The Daily Mail, Huffington Post, The Straits Times, Ditt Bryllup, and many others.
As a destination wedding photographer, Melanie has had the privilege to be a part of many significant life events all over the world. She holds these profound experiences and emotions very dear to her heart. She takes the same authentic, personal and reverent approach when designing collection pieces and your bespoke jewelry. Together with the Foss and Harper team, she would love to be a part of your life, celebrating moments both big and small.
